Hello World!

One week in Costa Rica, wow!!! As you can see below, we are almost directly west of Alajuela, the airport's nearest town.

We’ve been landing at our new home in San Mateo, Costa Rica on an amazing farm known as Finca Los Tucos.We’ve been setting up our home and getting to know our land mates.

The gracious owners, lovely caretaker family, and fellow extranjeros all have welcomed us home. Not to mention the 5 dogs, host of chickens and groups of lizards, Macaws and howler monkeys who’ve also come to say hello. 

Did we mention there is a pool? Yep, the kids have been living in it, and we call it “The great equalizer.” Best answer for overheated moments.

This week, we get to visit our school where the kids will attend, Sancti Spiritus, find new river pools and possibly an adventure to the mountains?!?
